p.1 #1 · adobe student discount for your kids

So Adobe has always had the student/faculty discount for kids, and go so far as to say all students K-12 are eligible.

Can I buy it for my son, who is in first grade, but be the primary user? How does Adobe enforce this? More importantly, why aren't more people with kids taking advantage of this? Am I missing something?

thinking of doing this to buy cs6 on the cheap before it goes...

Why does it need to be enforced? Are the concepts of integrity and honesty passe?

I would *never* advise doing anything illegal or against the rules. Buy it for your child. If he likes it and shows ability, let him use it. If he doesn't well, no sense letting it go to waste. Consider it repayment for the roof over his head, meals, clothing, etc.

It would be cheaper to go into a store and slip it under your coat.

Oh wait, you can't get it in a store any more.

I picked up CS6 through Office Depot for $249 and registered it under my son in law who's a teacher.

I have not read the conditions of Adobe's policy but if it says K-12 and you child is in 1st grade why would it not be OK? They offer it and if you pay, they are not out anything. In the end honesty is the best policy. It is much easier.
Read their offer carefully and agree to it, or not!
