I prefer the 35mm version. The foreground tree in the first image feels a bit cramped to me. Probably just personal preference. I do like the pano version better than the first. Would love to see more from your shoot! It's a great location and a great area. Thanks for sharing!

I more or less got skunked by rain this trip. But the night before I got some stormy weather shots at Grand View overlook and some more later this day with some good clouds. That evening I managed some Balanced Rock shots. I will show those in a while. I need to pace myself.
No3 except it bugs me that you chopped the tree off on the left hand side. I can't help it but I'm over particular about things like that
Very nice pictures all of them.

If you mean the left side rather than the bottom I have one with all the tree but it also has a man made wall in it. I moved to avoid it but could not get all the tree. Need to rethink this location.
Here is what it looks like with the wall included. This was taken earlier with just a peek of sun on the rocks. Then the sun went behind clouds for maybe 20 minutes before I got the shots in the original post. I did not notice the wall until it got lighter.

I prefer the 35mm image. The ultra wide shot seems to diminish the landscape - at least for me. Am I right in assuming the road (trail?) in the forground distance leads to Thelma and Louise Point?

Yes, that is the Thelma and Louse road although I am not sure of the exact place where that was done.
finally chose the 18mm shot to print. The advantage of a print, 16x24 is that the area mentioned is not diminished as it is on a web size image. The two images were virtually identical in terms of light and camera position just zoomed in. But I may print the other and test hang both.
