Great series, TIm; guess that Cali quail was looking for a relief from real estate prices and moved up to (I assume) Eastern Washington!
Wonderful use of environment; feels arid and warm. I like the last quail the best; seems as though you caught him catching the light just right!
Sorry Tim... I really thought I had already commented on this terrific set... my mind is a terrible thing to waste.
#1 is gorgeous... great BG, love the classic pose and beautiful pastel colors... excellent.
#3... see #1. My initial thought was too far left in frame, but the more I look, the more I like your take. Feather detail and subtle color changes are amazing buddy.
#4 is my favorite of the two Quail images... I love seeing him on the ground in the midst of that beautiful environment.

More excellent work Tim, extremely well done.

Thanks a heap Kirk. 3, I'm trying some different things with composition lately so input like this is just what I need. I would agree with you about Quails and seeing them in the open, that's why when he jumped up into the sage I was let down he didn't go higher, to me that would have been a killer shot. Maybe next time
