What! I can't imagine what could have caused him to do that. He was always nice and communicative; one of the lighthouses of the Canon board. May he rest in peace, and much condolences to his family and friends.

Opening this thread, I was half hoping that the title belied a joke of some kind. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I've already left a note in the Alternative board, but again, it's hard to contemplate both the reason for such a decision and the fact that a bright man, one of those I knew as a Canon board regular who was always nice, polite and well informed, is gone.
