p.1 #1 · Experiment: Flowers with 300 f4 + 1.4x III

Out for a walk this afternoon, I took my 1D IV with 300 f4L IS + TE 1.4x III in case we here to happen upon some deer. We didn't, so I played with flowers. I'd shot flowers with the bare 300, but not with the TE. I kind of like what it's capable of.

And this one was taken by my friend, who has a camera, but isn't very knowledgeable so far; he really wasn't trying to take it, just half-pressing with the BushHawk to see what the lens would show:

These are very nice Ernie. I, too, shoot flowers with my 300 and either the TC or extension tube.
