After being poking around some galleries in the Southwest I absolutely have to get some prints done on metal. But being a college kid I'm on a pretty tight budget. I use Bay and MpixPro a lot, but was wondering if there was somewhere that did metal that was a little more affordable but also of high quality?

But, I haven't found metallic paper as neutral as metallic (which can be either neutral or not). If you've got a strong amount of neutral in the scene, I didn't care for metallic paper (maybe there are more neutral ones out now).
The cost is VERY DIFFERENT for metallic paper vs. metallic ... but unless someone knows of a metallic paper that is neutral, I can understand the desire for metallic ... i.e. they really are two different products, imo.

I actually print on metallic paper a lot now (and it's what I sell most of), but comparing it to seeing prints on the aluminum surface it doesn't compare.
Plus if I print on metallic paper then I have to frame it and in the end it probably wouldn't be that much cheaper than getting a print on actual metal with a float mount.
I just did a couple of metallic paper prints mounted on 1 inch Gatorfoam. No need to frame, looks good.
I've also done numerous metal prints, mostly from Bay. I tried a cheaper option but the results were unacceptable for both the product and the support. When I emailed to complain about the muddy, mottled mess I received, I was referred to their digital specialist who "will help you resolve your problem."
