For the users and owners of the DX bodies, RUN, don't walk for this event.
If you've ever sat on the fence about owning a piece of kit like this in your bag and thought the 10.5 was just a little too pricey for the time used vs. cost element. This is a great user and a pretty darn good lens all around.
Search the reviews, look at the people that have tested it, done the comparisons etc. ounce for ounce, this is a really great value. I am slightly biased here I will admit. I'm a wide angle junkie always trolling for a new fix to stare into. I have owned and used this 8mm gem for over 2 years and never looked back at the 10.5 sale, or removing the 14 fixed from by bag.
Although nothing close to an edited image, I will just post a non-retouched 8mm sample here. No post work on aspect, just a hue/sat adjustment.
Wish the mirrorless versions were on sale. I've got the (outstanding) 8mm Panasonic for m4/3, but I wouldn't mind picking up the Samyang 8mm for Fuji sometime. At $229, I could have swung that, at it's normal $300, it's not a necessity (since I do have a fisheye available).

It would have been nice for the sale to apply to the Fuji X cameras as well. I have never been a terribly big fan of fisheye lenses, but would have definitely considered had it been on sale. Will still consider it for the future though.
