p.1 #1 · Fuji 18-55 & Samyang 8mm at a Sikh Wedding

I was invited to join the grooms family as they left home for the Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) on wedding day. I thought I would test my Fuji X-E1 with the 18-55 and Samyang 8mm fisheye in a fast-paced situation where there is not much time to plan your shot or take it. The Fuji 18-55 was slow on occasions locking on focus but it did OK. The Samyang was easy, just set it on f8 and hyperfocal distance and forget it. The only challenge with the 8mm fisheye was keeping the camera strap and your hands out of the way. I think the fisheye effect worked well and did not feel the need to defish the images.

Nice photos... How do you like Samyang 8mm? Is it a hard lens to use and did you like the results?

Love the Samyang 8mm in Fuji X mount. I find it much better than any other fisheye that I have owned and I've owned quite a few - Zeiss 16mm f2.8 Distagon, Zenitar 16mm, Takumar 16mm, Samyang 7.5mm in Micro 4/3 mount.
