I am considering buying a 27" Dell monitor. I am confused by the different specs of the various models.

I have a pair of U2711, and they're great! I can't tell you anything about the other models, except to note that the U2713H and U2713HM are listed at B&H, where you can get loads on information on them. Use the "Search B&H Photo" dialogue box to give Fred some kudos at B&H.
Look closely at Dell's website. The easiest to spot difference between the U2713H and U2713HM is that one is wide gamut and one is not. I think the U2711 is wide gamut also, but is discontinued?
We get Dell screens at work (corporate agreement) and from experience i find that the more expensive wide gamut screens are well made and decent, whilst the cheaper sRGB screens are definitely "cheaper". That's not to say they are bad, but they aren't the same quality: If i compare the U2412 in my office with the U2410 i have at home, the U2410 is definitely a better screen all round.
