its been probably 2 weeks since my last post, but its been quiet here in the northeast. today was the first big warbler breakout here in boston, but as per usual, they were all at the tops of tall trees so no good shots were obtained.
however, the nesting piping plovers have been in for a while now and i have squeezed out a few photos of these guys. i have been paying a TON of attention to subject eye contact of late as i am realizing that in 90% of my best shots the bird is engaging me the photographer (ad by proxy the viewer) in some visual capacity.
i hope you like these.....
in complete isolation
eye to eye
keeping clean and watching me out of his/her eye corner
Beautiful Plover, beautiful light, excellent exposure control and processing Dorian.
Head angle and eye contact is terrific in each and critically important as you've stated.
I really like all of them very much Dorian... excellent work.
