Hello, everyone. I've been out of the loop a while, so forgive me if I'm late to the party. But, on Amazon you can get a single YN-622c for $45. From what I understand it has an AF assist beam built it. I've heard a lot of clamoring through the years about why there isn't a dedicated AF assist beam attachment (that's affordable). Finally, there is!!! And, if you get more of them, you can also use them for their intended purpose!
I have four YN622Cs, and on each of them the projected grid is aligned slightly differently.
I just picked the one with the best aim and always use it on the camera, but if you're only buying one, to use just as an AF Assist, you may not get one that lights the right spot.
