This may seem silly to some, but I currently own the 70-200 VR I and I like the lens, but I have one major gripe with it. The zoom ring is very stiff. I have shot with it for years, but have the cash to upgrade, and am wondering...

Does the 70-200 VR II have a nice smooth zoom ring? If not, I wouldn't be interested in upgrading. Crazy to some, but important to me!
