i've had it unused for not just days or weeks but even a few months at times, dry or humid, cold or hot, not ONE single clogged ink nozzle so far.
SOOOOO much better than my R800 which was an utter ink clog hog of the worst imaginable order! Even a few days off and it might have 1/3rd or more nozzles clogged that might take almost a full ink set to clear.
So far, so good for me also. I admit to running the check nozzles once in a while, but it has sat for at least a month before and no problems. I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

When my R800 finally quit accepting paper, I was glad to be rid of the horrid beast. Lars Johnson pointed me toward the 3000. I owe him for that advice
This is good to know. I was looking for a printer for my seaside house to supplement my main, city-based printer, and was waiting for the kind of helpful information that you have provided. Thanks. Are the generic profiles as good as those Epson offers for their pro-printers ?
