I've recently decided I want better closeup shots than I can get now. I have a Canon 7D and took this shot with a Tamron lens. Not sure if it was the 28-75 or the 18 - 270. The 28 - 75 calls itself a 'macro' lens but it does not truly go 1:1.
I've ordered, but not yet received, a Canon EF 25II Extension tube and a Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens.
My 7D has a built in flash but I'm not sure how well it will work. The lens may block the light from the flash.
I have an OLD Canon 430 EZ Speedlight. I added four new AA batteries today and it will turn on and 'zoom.' I've been looking on the Canon USA website to try to find out if this flash is compatible with my 7D. I'd hate to kill my camera by connecting a flash that that might have the wrong voltage. Does anyone know where to look to see if it will work?
I've never used this flash. Never. It was included when I bought a used camera about 10 years ago so I really know nothing about how to use it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
