Might be my favorite of yours. This shows so much great personality. Quite a compelling photo.

Thank you, TJ. I can never predict which images might resonate with other observers.

yeah, I really like this one. Did you sharpen it much, Bob? His beard looks oversharpened, but not the rest of him.

Good, strong portrait, Bob.
He does look like a happy person.
And you caught the smiley face just right .

Thank you for looking and commenting, Ron and Charlie.

I sharpened the eyes, earrings, and beard.

Okay, I've got a couple of other dumb questions. Was this linked from flickr, or your personal website? If flickr, what resolution (pixel size WxL) did you post it to flickr?

Neither. I upload straight from a Fred Miranda folder on my computer. All of the images are 700px on the longest side.

Okay, I asked only because flickr has this nasty auto-sharpening that they do as part of their upload. If you upload to flickr at 700 px or 800 px as I usually post here, the auto-sharpening wreaks havoc on the photo. But I've learned that if I upload to flickr at full-resolution and then share at 800 px, it's not really noticeable.

I cannot blame flickr for any over sharpening - although I'd like to.
