Hi all! I know this is mainly a wedding photography section, and as I am slowly getting into photos, I am still mainly doing wedding films! I wanted to drop by my latest one for C+C. Any thoughts or tips would be great!
The film was shot with the Canon 5D MK III, MK II and a Sony FS100!
Prettym1k3- Thank you so much! This is my first year full time and I have the opportunity in my area to really pack a punch with the films.
Skirk- With each collection I offer, I produce a 1-3 minute trailer (depending on what they choose) 1-2 weeks after the wedding day to get the couple excited on the film and something they can share! I can understand the narrative, but their celebrant's voice was too perfect not to use! lol!
Yeah :/, unless you have it on point on the shoot, you can't really adjust it in post unless your shoot raw, which for video is very expensive and overkill at this point for most. You can cool or warm the clip but that's about it.

I always use a card with white, gray and black, so post is very easy. Just select whitepoint, blackpoint and white balance on gray. => done! On the 5D mk2/3 there is indeed not as much information as on the better HDSLRs like the D800 and a99. But I think it would work if you're close.
Like the video a lot, sometimes a bit too much focus changes for me and I would take some other background for the ringshot. Appart from that; REALLY NICE, emotional, dreamy, I think the b&g will love it! (makes me almost feel as if I were there)

Thank you for the tips! I did have the A99 but I really couldn't enjoy the footage out of it in comparison to the 5d MK2/3. You know, I can agree with a bit too much shallow DOF. It's something that I am going to try and control in the future! haha!
The only thing I saw was the reception lighting. Pink is always difficult- makes it harder to focus and makes everything soft. You might try a WB shift in camera to more greens and blues.
I like the narrative but I felt it was choppy based on the way it was edited. It didn't (to me at least) match the storytelling.
I didn't understand the flag shots... One or the other would have been fine.
I love the shots you have with the couple- very well done. Great music choice as well.
