p.1 #1 · Thinking of switching from DVDs to Flashdrives...

i'm starting to get really bored/frustrated with printing/burning DVDs for my client's wedding photos.

I always end up needing at least 2 DVDs, wasting ink printing them (assuming my printer isn't being a PITA), shelling out $$ for stupid DVD folio cases, dealing with the short archival life of DVDs and data corruption due to scratches etc.

it costs me around $30 for the folio (holds 2 dvds), and (i'm estimating here), but around $3 per printed dvd.

What are you guys using for flash drive solutions/ branded packaging?

I'm thinking some kind of 8gig drive + a tin case w/ foam cut to fit the drive. maybe something simpler.

any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

I use flash drives generally but have upgraded to hard drives for longer shoots.

I've switched to 100% digital downloads. No physical product is the fastest way to go. Also gets your files to your client a lot faster too. I've been really happy with this for the past year or so, saves TONS of time!

What you delivering? If you're delivering JPEG files, then I'm pretty impressed you're able to exceed 16GB of delivered images from a wedding.
