I had a Pixel King set that just crapped out on me after 4 months. I'm getting a full refund via Amazon (they handle the warranty for King if you buy from them) but I think I might just step up to a Phottix Odin setup.
Is anyone using the Odin with a Nissin di866 MKII and if so is it working flawlessly?
The Di866 MKII is a great unit. I have it here as a spare, second body unit and it's very user friendly. In as much as the Phottix Odin WITH the MKII, I've had no experience with the combination. I would check Nissan web site for incompatibility issues with anything. Or, just drop them a mail. They speak remarkably good English, and they are quick to respond.
I just received Odin yesterday, am using 2x Nissin Di866 ii. All works well, EXCEPT HSS over 250 on my D600 or D90. Disappointed a little I must admit. I looked everywhere to see before purchase if they would HSS, as I do use this quite often shooting backlit. I updated Odin firmware hoping this would fix it, sadly it didn't.
