First time hired to shoot an amateur boxing event, a new sport for me, these were for a friend so hope he likes some of the shots (still processing) !

D800 and Sigma 50/1.4. Any C&C appreciated.

flash is a little too hot for my taste and number 2 the boxer on the left has red eye from the flash

Initially I'd agree with Carl that the flash is a bit hot in this day and age of affordable off-camera light, but I actually quite like the sort of 'retro' feel it gives the images. The third shot is fantastic. Was that planned or a fortuitous flash-bomb?

Thanks Carl. My first attempt at boxing and I have a lot to learn. Now I know to dial back the flash power next time.

Flash - noted

3rd shot. I was trying out some non-flash shots (too dark though) and this was just a nice break with the other shooter's flash. Sometimes you just get lucky.
