Still love lax, and have settled into a routine. usually shoot from the side line just behind the goal line on the right side of the field. ( most of these kids are right handed and prefer to shoot from there). Shoot goalies and defense from the 30-40 yard line for part of a half then try and get behind the goal if it is safe. Some of these kids can throw the ball 100 mph so paying attention is very important. I try and change lens and focal lengths , F stops and shoot some rain for a seasonal mix. thanks for the C and C if you care to share.
1/2... I prefer #2 over #1 and I think you can get away with cropping away the blue players on the other team. #1 doesn't quite have enough face and the orange thing (garbage can?) in the background is more of a distraction than the cone in #2
3... really nice
4... would have been better without the cut feet.
5... maybe super tight, but as is, doesn't work for me.
gome and Paul. Thanks for taking the time to comment. these were shot at the Rutgers field. They have these orange /red bags all over the place. Tried to get a vantage that didn't show too much, shot with the 200-400 but still had BG issues. Everything is going well, thanks , having fun shooting multiple sports, trying new things. One of the kids told me he prefers my site to porn! Maybe I am doing something right!
It is my opinion to shot the GK one needs to be a tad more out front of the GK as you were on #2 VERSUS #1. I would recommend moving up the line an additional 5-15 feet.
