Great shot. I missed this one, up to this point. I'm really hoping to visit this very location soon . . . been on the bucket list for about 5 years and I'm hoping to check it off in 2013.
This photo is awesome. Great FG interest and the temple is just spectacular. Congrats.
Thanks so much Gordon, it's a cool location and I am sure you will come up with some great shots too.

Jim thanks for such a beautiful picture. I really enjoy how the lighting illuminates the blues on the small shrubs, it really pops against the warm and contrasting orange hues of the mountains. I hope one day I can compose photos like that, just starting out so I have tones to learn.
I appreciate your comments and I am glad you liked the shot. Just be sure to keep on shooting, and posting them in here, it's a great way to improve.
I keep coming back to this thread to look at that photo...now I realize that I need more than one week in the Moab area next month...there are just too many things to see in that area...

Moab's just a base camp. I can argue that Hanksville is a better base camp. Although, no real restaurants, bars, wine - women - song...
Since we have limited time...we are.focusing our trip on Arches...given another week we would see more, too many cool places in that area.

Hey Travis, I am glad that this is a shot that you can keep coming back to. As to that area, yeah, there is so much to see, and with a week to do it in, you will have to plan well. I have been going to this area for years now, but this last year was the first time that I finally made it to the Temple of the Sun and Moon. I know I focused the first years on Arches, and Canyonlands. I am sure you will have a great trip!
