Fund these guys in a park while spending a few days in Jacksonville, FL.
Lighting wasn't the best and trying to get some clear shot was very difficult.
These are some of the best I was able to grab.
Taken with the 500mm paired with a 7D.

What a great find Socrate. Super job is getting some very nice images. Those last two are priceless, esp #4. You got an awesome pose from that owlet.

Wow, this gets my Featured Thread vote right out of the gate just for the great shots of those little bundles of cuteness !

I'd crop #3 a little tighter to lose the bough bottom right, still an amazing image.

#4 has to feature as a poster/magazine shot somewhere !

A ton of character in the poses you got Socrate and what a thrill to find these!
I've only had one opportunity with this species so I can appreciate how tough they are to shoot

Terrific set and #4 is very special
