Ι dont have a Canon anymore but I was shooting it side by side with a D700 the other day, with the new Tamron 24-70/2.8 in low light, and couldnt really see a difference in AF speed. The 35 is a slow-ish focusing lens so with that it was a step behind but with the 14 and 18 the two cameras were on par. The kit zoom with the step motor was also almost as good. IMO the xe2, paired with a good lens, is the first fuji that meets reasonable modern expectations AF-wise. The x100s can still disappoint in certain situations.

It depends on lens, the 23/2 on the x100s is not the fastest to focus
I find the xpro1 is faster with the 14 or 18 but equal or slower with other lenses
I dont think the FW had any impact on AF
The xe2 is in a whole different ballpark from both of them IMO.
I have had a near identical experience. I would add the 23/1.4 to that list as well with the X-E2. Perhaps even the 35.
