I do like the feel in #1, nice contrast and color too.
For me #2 looks just a bit flat and could benefit from more contrast and a boost in Vibrance. Might also look better with less along the top?
You did a great job with these. Theyre very fast fliers. I havent managed a flight shot on one yet.
Thank you , so much.
Beautiful images Roberta. I look both. I struggle with in-flight shots. I always seem to end up taking the bird's butt rather than their head! I am wondering if you could edit 2 in PS to darken the light band under the bird to make the bird pop a little more. But that is a minor criticism because I really like the image.

Thank you so much Alan. I, too, really struggle with the in flights. Will try to darken , thanks for the suggestion.
lovely set Roberta.. #2 for me
Thank you Kenny .
Well done Roberta!
These birds are not easy to get right in flight.
Second one is my pick of the set
Koen.
Much appreciated Koen. I have a hard time getting any bird right in flight
Great pair of shots.
dont care if the second is technically better, the first is heavenly
Tim
Thanks so much Tim. It is my favorite one too
Very nice Birdie. I like the warm tones in 1 and the pose in 2 ~ Ron
