Nice photos. Hope you could/can give a copy to the 'models'. They would love them even more than us. Take care and keep up the good work.
Yes we do try to get them copies as they do really enjoy them. This is an annual trip and we take prints down with us to hand out. We also make books with all the photos from the previous year to share. It makes for a great conversation starter and a lot of laughs as some of the pics get a little silly!

some very nice images...Glad to see the children enjoying them and having fun.
Thanks for the kind words. It always amazes me how happy those kids are with nothing and our own kids get upset when there Ipod or cell phone battery dies!
These are all great! The kids really connect with you.
Where do you go? What kind of mission? I went on a mission trip to a mountain village outside Esteli. We spent a week building a pig pen and bean arbors. That was back in 2002, I took both my newly acquired Canon G2, my first digital camera, and one of my Canon FTb's to shoot film.

Thanks dmacmillan, nice shot by the way
As for the mission trip we go to a small village called El Limonal just outside of Chinandega, Nicaragua. The community was basically a refugee camp for survivors of Mud slides caused by Hurricane Mitch in 1998.
We have been going there for the past 7 years and done a variety of projects. We are currently working on classrooms for the local school which used to be held under a poll barn. One big pavilion for all 6 grades and 3 teachers. It was chaos! there are now 4 school rooms and this year we worked on a (First in the community) actual flushing bathrooms for the school.
Of course the physical work is just a small part of the trips. We've built some strong relationships with the community over the years and strive to communicate the Love of Christ with them in all we do.

Thank you for sharing, beautiful country (where I was originally born).
Thank You
It is a beautiful country with a bunch of beautiful people, Where in Nicaragua were you born?
We try to take at least one day to see some of the country when we are there, its always breathtaking.
As a birder I got to say I would love to spend time down there just doing bird photography. Here is one of the National Bird I was able to take the second year we went down. I've not seen one the last few years
