Very nice colors, detail and BGD's Socrate. #2,3 and 5 are my picks. I presume the first four were outside and the last was indoors ? Was that image hand held ? I've never gotten sharp images myself with indoor reptiles unless I used a monopod with slower ss. The IQ is certainly remarkable for iso 5000 on that 5D mk III. I'm still holding back from the FF body switchover.
Fantastic work on these Socrate... Techs are perfect, great use of shallow DOF, and I always love your compositions and these are no exception, very well done.
1, 3, and 5 are my favorites in this signature series.

Thank you, Herb. Yes the last one was taken inside, through a dirty glass, in a reptiles exhibition. The shot was taken hand-held with a 24-105mm IS L. The way I shoot these type of shots is by holding the lens against the glass. This will take care of the dirty glass and will help holding the lens. The 5DIII does a great job at high ISO and the noise can easily be taking care of in PP>

A very nice set. #2 is terrific, you made a common lizard look exotic. Are those invasive pythons ?
Thank you for you kind comments The Copperheads snakes are native to North America and belong to the pit vipers family. During the summer season they like to hunt at night and hide during the day. it is a very common snakes and it accounts for the largest number of snake bites in the US every year. Its poison, though, is more forgiving than others, yet very painful.
