Found somewhere in California horse country as I was driving to someplace else .
Both images taken at different dates and in different locations.
I drive a lot.
And I use my brakes a lot.
And I make highway U-turns a lot .
Thanks Rick, David, Bee and Morris.
Long ago a friend who also traveled a lot told me that the best thing about driving while on vacation is "not where the car TAKES me, but where the car STOPS me."
1,000,000 miles later- I agree with him .

Thanks Tim, Roberto and Ken.
"Separated at birth?" A lucky thing for you, Tim .
And me, too .
About highway U-turns: many years ago I sped by a long-abandoned cabin in the American southwest. I thought it was worth a photo someday, but kept going. A couple years later I was on the same road and again saw the cabin. It had been burned to the ground by some A-holes with nothing better to do.
Ever since, I (almost ) always make a U-turn and go back. Especially with old buildings.

Thanks AC, Birdie and Ray.
I suspect those who are "destination oriented" tend to keep on driving, whereas those of us who are "journey oriented" tend to turn around.
