Mine is working its way to me and mister fedex is scheduled to deliver it tomorrow. If it's as good as the 85 f1.4 I will be a very happy camper. Amazon says mine is a Rokinon with the chip, so that makes life a bit easier.
I've been through this thread several times and all over the interwebs, it looks like a real bargain. Mine should be here tomorrow. That gives me almost three weeks to deal with any QC issues before I'll take it to Tahoe. Fingers crossed for a good one!

I focus based on the scene ahead - example interior or race car - the seat was about 0.7 meters, so that's what I set it for, f/11 or so, and that's it. I never had a problem with that, but I couldn't tell you if the seat really was 0.7 meters away or I just got lucky. You really can't see in the viewfinder if you're in focus. The focus dot confirm may help, but I never bothered to see if it is accurate (see posts about dot-tune lens tuning - that should apply to MF lenses as well).
I never cared to test my lens because my results were just fine right from the first time I used the 14mm. Maybe I just got lucky, but this is my third Rokinon lens and all were perfect out of the box. The 85mm f/1,4 is a lot harder to use due to the shallow depth of field, and I rely on the confirm dot much more with that lens.
