Nicely done on this set Glenn. I think my favorite is #3 and I like what you've done on #2 as well, though I'm tempted to just keep the top portion of #2 by doing a square crop and losing the big patch of white on the bottom.
You got some pretty cool shots. How far is this area from Chicago? It looks like total wilderness. I like your creativity in #2, and my favorite I think is #3.

With #2, the composition was impacted by my experience of being there. The patch of white is a path through the woods. My abstracts were centered around trying to capture that path through the woods. However, without having been there, it probably isn't as obvious what the patch of white actually is!

I live in Orland Park, a suburb of Chicago. This section of Forest Preserves is just a couple of miles from my house. It's about 20 miles from downtown Chicago.
