p.2 #1 · d700 won't shoot in high speed mode (8FPS)
Yes, I have done a full reset. I will try self timer. I shot an event on Sat at high shutter speeds when I first noticed this problem. I just set to ISO 6400 and f1.8 and took some shots at 1/8000 and still it only fires off 2 shots in burst mode.
It is the Nikon grip. Info button shows the correct 8 fps with grip but I still only get 2 shots.
Does anyone know of a call in Nikon support number?

Would you have inadvertently changed menu d5: Max. Continuous Release? From the manual, page 298 "The maximum number of shots that can be taken in a single burst in continuous mode can be set to any value between 1 and 100"

Paul and Chris - if you read the thread, the OP has said the window shows him the FPS he expects, but it is shooting 2 frames. I also suggested the reset and he's responded that he tried that.
There is also a shooting menu reset. You mentioned only the green button reset.
