I've been working on the Lesser Scaups, now that I know what they are. These ducks are just not cooperative. They never come close to shore.

I think you did good.
Not much wrong with these except the last might have a purple cast.
The second is my favorite.

You have me thinking that I should be out chasing these guys but with our grey skies I just can't bring myself to do it. I'll just sit back and enjoy the wonderful job you are doing with these skittish birds. This set is wonderful, you are hitting these out of the park

Great job on these. Well captured. This time of the year it is difficult to tell if the duck is an adult or juvenile.

Thank you Socrates. I just sit on one and wait and wait and wait ... And finally they do something. I never see them flying. The just fluff up and preen themselves when not diving. Patience is important with the little ones.
