That is a super image!! A good pose too. The slight turn of the head makes it. All that water adds some dynamism. A touch more headroom would be welcome.
What a beautiful shot. The touch of teal on the wings really adds to the aesthetic appeal to me- it's a really pretty color and is what first drew my eye's attention.
I wouldn't change a thing about this shot- I like the crop the way it is, as it gives a feeling that the bird will be out of the frame almost immediately, which adds an element of urgency frozen in time for me at least.
As much as love your interpretation my mind keeps playing with this one. If this is full frame so be it, it's marvelous. If it isn't I might try cropping it differently, less room on the right, bring the edge just up to the splashes main body and then more room diagonally upper right. If you have that I would love to see that To me a shot like this, that has so many wonderful elements just begs for playing with!
