Love that picture of your in-laws and the layered portrait look, esp as he's looking at her and her gaze is so strong. I hope she's not a scary mother in law.
re my picture - EVERYONE at the playground today was referring to her as a boy, which really confuses me. Not just one or two parents but everyone was saying "mind that boy" or "wait till that boy has finished". But as for the mischievous - no doubt! She's great though.

Doh, I'm so so sooo sorry. I should have known better, as I've seen her in other photos of yours and I never thought she was a boy then.
Must be the smile. Looks like she's up to something.
My mother in law is fantastic. Not scary in the least. It's the father in law you have to worry about. Well, not me exactly, just everyone else in the family.
Joseph, there is something hypnotic about that photo. Nice black and white conversion, is that done in camera?
Here's one from a walk today. These guys introduced themselves to me as Don Cherry (right) and Ron MacLean (left). I think you've gotta be Canadian to get the reference. Or from Boston.
We talked hockey for a bit, then I shot them a fiver to grab a beer with. Fun guys.
Morten, that first one is great. Like the rest too, but I can't help but imagine how fast I could get going on that perfectly brand new, slightly downhill road.
Something different - I used the black and white setting for the first time on my x100s and used a square format to try to get a look a bit like my old Rolleiflex. Lit with an old Nikon SB-22 flash off ebay:
