I cant find the Japanese warranty for the RX1 online. Is it world wide or would I have to send it back to Japan to get fixed? Prices here are crazy low with yen falling so hard.

Some say Sony has an international warranty. I'll have to ask in-store I guess. Of course, now I am thinking about a Fujifilm camera. Dang these prices are low here.

As an ex-Sony-employee I can tell you that it should be fine but only in certain countries and only if you have an international tourist warranty card stamped in-store and at customs when you left the country of purchase.
Since a lot of Sony products are language/region locked it may have to go back to Japan for servicing anyway - I don't know for sure with the RX1.

Actually, it is even better. I get 5% more off that price if I pay with a Union Pay card. That's the Chinese version of Visa. Japan is going after the Chinese consumer pretty hard. That's $2280 for an RX1.
