Sally Lightfoot crabs- and an adult male marine iguana returning from a diving excursion.
Concluding with a typical scene of a lava flow- of which all the islands are comprised.
Excellent work Charlie! The second reminds me of a picture in a Time/Life hardcover book, Evolution, that I used to just love to read and absorb the pictures when I was a kid.
Thanks Don, Ron, Ken, Eric, Morris, Tim Kuhn and Tim Holtz.
It was years ago (surprise! ), and it was a wonderful trip- for sure.
No supper for me with these guys, though. Among the obvious reasons- there is the reality that catching Sallys is almost impossible- they are REALLY quick .

Thanks Birdie, Ken and Socrate.
Sometimes the lava rock was so black that there was hardly any detail in my Kodachromes. Especially since I tend to underexpose them .
Charlie
Thanks Howard, Conrad and Kirk.
Highly recommended? Oh yes.
But for you long lens officionados it will not be the challenge that you often face; the wildlife lets you get REALLY close .
