I really like this but I'm not sure whether it is because of the muted chiaroscuro lighting or the subject matter. Probably both - it's like a painted still life except photo realistic. Standout.
Thanks a lot of luck.
It was also part of a set. So staged for public viewing, so professionally set up, I think this gives it a certain value or worth in both colours, subjects and composition, even though i could not access the area well and this was taken from an angle which just about worked. The light is through a small pane framed window of dirty glass which helped to defuse the light which was very low. An 8 second exposure at iso100 f7.1.
Nice Juju. The boiler house has a classic nostalgic look.
Many pics from other authors are brilliant too.
I found that , this HD thread gives much more satisfaction than any others.

Thanks Contas.
I think most of us realise that viewing images downsized for the web does alter the viewing qualities, from that of the native resolution when viewed at home or work. Scale does have it's own positive attributes. Saying that the best images can be viewed small and hold up I think. I know even in this thread the pics are being downsized a lot but it certainly gives the viewer a more accurate way to see how camera/lens behaves, which has got to be a good thing.
