Phillip, the second image in your latest set is amazing, I was staring at it and my tired eyes went a bit cross-eyed and had a bit of a magic eye 3d look to it. Cool
Phillip, great eye above all and your kit really shines in the last set. I would love to see these in a large print. Must be a great light combo for walking and hiking.
Do we want to try to agree on a size for these images? For example, if you maximize a browser and reduce chrome to the minimum on a modern 24" screen, how much space can you see?
I have 27" at home and my old 30" monitor is at work, so bigger is better for me, but I would go down a little in size if there is a consensus that this is better for everyone.
Awesome images here, all of them! They really shine in this resolution.
@Carsten & Phillip: As I'm quite familiar with your works posted here, I'm impressed how much this resolution adds to your images! Btw., Carsten, where is your image on page 1 taken?
@cputeq: all images are great, but the first one is really impressive!

My screen is 1920×1080 so the height is usually the limiting factor
With 2:3 images 1600px is optimal

i like the ipad retina dimensions (2048x1536) because thats my default size now already. 1600px was my old standard though, so i have plenty of those too:
Hmm, my 2048 wide are not working on my 27" iMac, I have to click them to see them full screen which just ends up taking me to my Flickr page. I'll change them down to 1600 wide...
Sebboh, your settings in Flickr do not allow me to see the large 1600 wide image, but here you are displaying large versions, is there a reason for this? I enjoy being able to see people Flickr streams in full size and I think yours would look even better if you had this enabled. At the moment I am only seeing 1024 versions in your stream.

that's weird, my publicly viewable images should all be visible at a largest size of 2048 or 1600 depending on when they were posted. you don't see the larger options when you click view all sizes? it works fine for me when i log out and view my stream.
Yeah I can when I right click the image and then select it. Maybe its because you are uploading at 2048 wide anyway. I upload the original size, so there is '2048' and then 'original' options. Yours is just '1600' and then 'original' which happens to be 2048. Its much nicer to be able to see it fill the screen without having to click.
When you log out and view on a large monitor does it show the 2048 version to you?

it shows 2048 and original as options even though they both are the same size. i'm not at a big enough monitor to test if it will automatically size to 2048 right now.
