Phillip, just curious, are you a tripod user/do you carry one on vacation?
I own one but rarely use it. For that mountain shot i used a small one, but it was rubbish and the image isn't as sharp as it could be.

Okay, 27" is not enough any more, I clearly need a new 30" monitor
Don't you have pivot-function in your monitor
Haven't yet seen many 4k monitors, one of those would be nice (if it calibrates well).

This larger version clearly shows how much is lost in the resizing to normal (~1000px) size. There is so much more presence in this one.
This was harder than my normal images; target at ~4 meters and background trees ~10 meters (this was 45 degree hill shoot upwards) - it really doesn't work that well in webthumbnail (~1000px size). Link to 1000px: link.

I had one of these "ghetto" blasters as they called it, ack in 1986! I played that thing to death, literally! Ah, to be ten again! i need to ask my mum to find my old school pic so i can post them here for laughs! I still recall my first red cheapy camera, i took rolls of film shots, yet only a rare few survived!
