Often i would like to share bigger pictures but this survey told me, that most of the users here prefer even smaller images than my usual 1280px wide, so i don't do it.
But not so in this thread! Post any size you want taken with any camera or lens.
Awesome images, I really like the large size. Phillip love the colors and detail in the trees.
Carsten that has amazing detail, very Zeiss looking to me, would love to see it huge but I don't have a big enough monitor or to see a large print.
Sebboh, great compositions and stunning detail, always enjoy your images.
Question. Although my buy/sell has expired (temporarily) I had uploaded at a 1000px on the long end. So you are saying go to 1280? I'll agree, bigger is better.
where are you guys hosting your large files? I've justb tried linking from photobucket and got a smaller rendered size. Think it was the same with 500px.com

Awesome thread! Well done everyone who has posted. This is partly why I moved back to Flickr and am letting my website expire. I can post images and view them full screen in all their glory on both my 27" iMac and my ipad3.
Here is a shot I've had on my website for ages but have just put on Flickr. With the 21ZE:

Carsten, interesting image. It looks HDRish. Or did you push shadows a lot?
It has some HDR work done to it. At that time I was experimenting quite a lot with how much HDR effect I liked. In general I decided on less than that image shows, but I did like the effect there.
I use a 15" retina macbook pro and I am scrolling. However I have the display set at Apples "best resolution for retina". I assume if I can figure how to change the resolution on this computer I could fit entire image on page, but as I say Apple recommends my current display size.
My ipad 4 definitely needs no scrolling but I don't have the nice large image that I do on the 15'
I am curious, what image size do you have your cameras set to. particularly interested in Nes 7's, thanks
Nice pics, but bit too big for me. 1600px limit would be around perfect (like photos from Phillip). If Im correct, internet average LCD is that 1650 x sumthing. Yea and mine too (I dont deny that ).
Will try to find sumthin suitable..
Or something unsuitable, enjoy anyway!
Well, you complain about your pix loosing resolution when downsized. Mine actually start looking bit sharper when smaller! So whats worse, having too much resolution or not enough? If you want to find out, buy S5 Pro.. it will make even Zeiss lens output look soft (at any F-stop).
Some great images here, I'm going to stick to around 1600, my screen is 1680 wide, would love a 27" monitor with extra resolution but it would take over my whole desk and leave room for nothing else.
Phillip, the second image in your latest set is amazing, I was staring at it and my tired eyes went a bit cross-eyed and had a bit of a magic eye 3d look to it. Cool
