Not the kind that you easterners have had, I hope all is well with everyone.
My wife and I did an overnight trip to the WA coast. I got out for a couple of hours last night and then this morning. I was counting on WeatherChannel forecasts to come through. I didn't get soaked, but the light never came through except for a few "sunbreaks" this morning.
Here is an owl from last night. Great perch, great background, I was really hoping for the golden light.
A beautiful setting to be sure Doug. That wonderful layered background, lovely perch and a mottled snowy makes for a great series of images. You could have gone in tighter on the first but I love how your "vision" gives it more expanse...well done.

Thanks Eric. I was excited about the background. I was working with another owl on a log and turned around to head over to this guy. As I got set up I heard someone behind me, when I turned around the photog that was next to me at the other bird was following me over with a big smile on his face.
I added a crop version from another frame just for you. Hard to decide.

WOWZA! It is a different look but a spectacular one as well. Hopefully you have a space for that one on your wall...and thanks for the "gift"!
