I hiked all the way to my kitchen window to take these yesterday at dusk. The setting sun was illuminating the top of the trees with the bird in the shade. I enjoyed working with the soft light and the 180mm f2.8 which quickly has become a favorite lens.
So mourning came late for you Morris...love that you had the ambition to trek all the way to the kitchen to get these shots. You must have been famished at the end of the hike but luckily you were in the right place at the right time for both the doves and sustenance.
