Went to a local botanical Garden, and saw these guys. it was before sunset, and they were in shade, so had to bump up the iso.

Ah, nice warm looking shots. Wish I was in Cali. I definitely feel for everyone in the East with their nasty weather of late. It's better here in the NW but we just had a bit of a blizzard today so maybe it's just hitting us later.

Very nice set and the third is my pick.

Was not snowed in hear though I did have to shovel about 1 inch of slush on Friday and 6 inches of nice light powder on Saturday

thanks guys. I liked the pastel impressionistic look of 2, though some may say its nervous bokeh. the spot focus in 5d3 really came in handy, since there were plenty of distractions to focus on.
