They grew up in this small, shaded stream, that runs right through town. A busy arterial is half a block away and they were so accustomed to me, that it almost felt like cheating when I got close to them. There was a flock of about 30 farther downstream that had been raised elsewhere and were so wild, that photos were not an option.

Nice captures.

The wood duck is one of the more beautiful/interesting birds to photograph.

Have yet to take an image of a mandarin duck.

The image of the wood duck is enhance when you catch the reflection of the duck in the image - especially with fall color.
