Eric- I really like this image. She's a beautiful animal, and you caught her perfectly.
I generally prefer color versions of wildlife, but in this case the B&W seems stronger.

Well look who the cat dragged in...not that cat thankfully ...and I am in full agreement with you on all fronts. This image for some reason seems to work better in b&w.

Thanks Roberta...I like the b&w better for a number of reasons not the least being the slight loss of depth of focus on the "chin". It's pretty subtle but I can see it and am sure if I chose to blow it up to any significant size it would be very obvious and distracting....the black and white version seems to mask that for some reason and gives the whole image much more punch.

Excellent pose, and well executed shot. There's more contrast from subject to bg in the BW version, which I'm sure adds to the extra pop, but I like them both.
