This was the first time on this trail in the park. This was taken in the late afternoon. I normally shoot Rainier in the morning hours. It was nice to see the different shadows at this time.
This is a few horizontal shots stacked vertically with a lot of overlap.

Nice inviting shot, the only nit I have is where the mountain snow top basically blends right into the sky. A little more separation would give more definition to the mountain top.

I know what you mean about the separation between mountain and sky. It was kinda lost like that looking at it while shooting it. I'll take a look separating it more without too much discoloration taking place.

Having that magnificent mountain in the background is always a good start to a photograph, and you were especially blessed with the wonderful, warm light.
