A few from the weekend. The Jay was taken while out skiing. Waxwings and squirrel at a local city park. All taken hand held with 7D. Waxwings with 400mm, Jay with 400mm & 21mm tube, Squirrel with 70 - 200.

Red Squirrel: Omnivore - I've seen these critters eat everything. Stalking and catching a baby spotted sandpiper, mushrooms, seeds, human food, and now fermented fruit.

Blue Jay- The pose here strikes me as looking angry, or at least disappointed. Funny how we read feelings into animals. About 40% crop.

Nice set, Ken. Squirrels are about as omnivorous as it gets, in my experience. Love the colors on the waxwings.

Lovely set Kirk! I think the saturation on the Waxwings could do with a little bit less but they are beautiful birds

I really like the top view of the BWW Ken, that really does display the markings nicely. I do like the nice tight crop of the about to be intoxicated squirrel, it brings us into his world
