For those wondering about my setup and process (I received a PM about it as well) I will gladly share. All of the images were taken with a Nikon D800 and typically with my 24mm PC-E (images 4 and 5 were with my 16-35mm f/4 VR). My camera was set to level and then the lens was either shifted to reveal more height or foreground, or, it was used to create panoramic stitches (1,2,3,7,8). For the skies, a polorizer was used, which also helped the white marble stand out even more.
You did a beautiful job on these. Congratulations. Composition. Exposure. Processing. Very nice. They not only make you want to go yourself, but you want to keep looking at them over and over.
I wasn't able to drive to Dubai (unfortunately) but I believe it to be around 1.5 hours to drive. If you make it to Abu Dhabi it is definitely worth seeing!
