Spencer, Always a follower of your work and would appreciate your thoughts.
One thing I'm in the works of is adding collections/prices/sales point to the site for clients to get more into it without e-mailing me.
Base collection starting at 1900.00

I think if you have a menu link to a blank page that's either "under construction" or "updates coming", it shouldn't exist at all on your site. It shows you haven't taken the time to complete it, but you wasted my time by letting my click on a link that gave me nothing. It's like walking in to Circle-K to get a drink, but all the drink fridges have a solid door instead of glass, requiring me to open them to see if there's the drink I want in there, only to find nothing in it. I'm sure most people don't notice or would just move on, but, from an experience standpoint, it's viewed as a negative. No harm done, just remove the link
$3100-4500.
You have a nice "see my gear page". I think thats for photographers. Not saying to remove it, but I don't think it serves any purpose to your clients. If it's there because photogs ask you a lot, then maybe have the link elsewhere?...Show more →

This is interesting, as you are the first site I've visited in this thread that is actively selling on almost every page. At first it comes across as negative, but at the same time it gives me a sense of confidence (as a consumer) that you are probably very busy. After a bit the negativity of the "hire me here, book me here" kind of subsided when I realized that you are probably booking a lot of brides, so I'm curious how many you are shooting in a year.
I'm going to guess you are booking between $3000-5000 on average, and maybe more. But, if I'm going to think like a consumer, I really have no idea what to expect. If that is your intention, I think it could be positive in your case....Show more →
I don't say "hire me, book me" - if anything I'm saying more of a "this isn't for everybody" so I do have a couple of calls to action to email me. Is that what you're referencing? Because I don't understand how having a call to action is construed as a negative. Interesting take.
Ok Spencer - I want in. Appreciate you taking the time to do this.
I'm launching 3 new websites in 2 weeks. But interested to see what my current website price point is and hope you get to do a post launch pricing analysis as well.
Hey Spencer, thanks for reviewing my site back in 2012. I have since then revamped the whole site, and would love to hear what you think of my presentation. I do not state my rate, but would like to hear what you think I charge based on my web presence. Thanks !
this is my first time around. I would be honored if you took a look at my site.

No price on my website, but starts at 1500,-€ for whole day coverage.
I am still based in Germany but will move to Australia in a few month (Queensland). There I hope to raise my price by a good margain.
I really apprechiate that you invest so much time in doing this. Thank you!
I'll jump in. I just updated because I needed to launch my photo booth. I need to spend a little time working on the details so now is the best time for feedback!

Weddings - $1200-2400. I think you have a big price discrepancy between your starting price and the top package. It's about 3x the price! While it's good to have a top package that can be unattainable to some, the range, I think, shouldn't be so extreme. Going from $4000-6300 doesn't seem like quite a jump compared to 1200-3500. With that said, I think you should have a third package around 2400 or so. Then again, when you have such a low entry point that you probably might be attracting a really different kind of customer that might spend $3k.
I think you missed my website before. I am really interested in knowing what you think of what the pricing should be. Currently our pricing starts from 1200 USD for 6hrs coverage and E-session + 2 posters and a 10x10 album. This pricing is based on the Mexican market where we are based. The packages are in Spanish.
When I click on "weddings" it says its a password protected post. That would make me frustrated as a consumer that maybe I did something wrong. Just seems weird.
It's hard to say what I would expect to spend, because you don't give any indication. So this isn't just for you, but everyone that I've reviewed that didn't have pricing listed, if your intention is for them to have NO IDEA, then don't list anything.
From a user interface, you have multiple links on the same page for the same gallery. Your landing page is thumbnail links to your galleries. But if I click on "portfolio" it takes me to basically the same thing, just in a different layout. So, I think your website could have an improved layout and make it more logical to guide people in the direction you want them to go (make it as easy as possible for them to arrive at the conclusion that they might want to hire you), and DONT assume its because of your photography.
So the point of this thread isn't for me to "valuate" your worth, but for me to act like a consumer and see how much you might cost to hire. But now that I know your pricing (as a photographer) because you told me, I think that is VERY VERY low, and on the verge of giving a lot for nothing.
