I just purchased an Aurora UNI-LEVER PRO U-600 STUDIO FLASH and would like to pick up a soft box to use with it.
Been searching for the last few days for info regarding softboxes and Mounting rings but still can wrap my brain around it. Do I need a specific ring for the flash ? Anyone know of any compatible rings for this combo?

It would be helpful if you photograph and post a shot of the front of your light showing the attachment mechanism the ring will attach to and the base of the standard reflector. Also look on the maker's web site for information if you haven't already.
The back part of the speedring for a studio light will usually look similar to the base of the standard metal reflector and attach the same way. If the reflector clips on using spring-loaded fingers (Buff / Balcar) the back of the speedring will be similar. If the reflector attaches via twisting and locking the speedring with have a similar twist-lock base.
The ring linked above is designed for speedlights with don't have attachment points for modifiers.
