1, 10 (maybe with a little more sharpening) and 13. I like 16 more than 13, if it were processed a bit differently, with more of the same tone as the one directly below it (17.)
Why? Who knows. They caught my eye. That's the point of portfolio images anyway, right?

Show great connection between then, they are fun, good color, and give you what I would call "substance"
Actually they are all really nice save for the last one.
What I think really detracts in some of these is the shallow depth of field while not having the two faces on the same plane so one is prominent in the frame but blurry. Def. don't care for those...

8 - evokes emotion (would be better with her eyes closed)
10 - just like the depth of field and attention it draws to the girl.
12 - Cropped like 13 (no car), great moment.
